Are you one of those operators cutting $300,00-500,000 in costs per land well,
or saving over $1,000,000 in offshore wells
by using RESMAN’s Intelligent Tracer technology?
RESMAN AS (“RESMAN”) (www.resman.no), the world’s leading provider of wireless reservoir surveillance has successfully defended its European Patent EP 2 633 152 (“the Patent”) in opposition proceedings in the European Patent Office (“EPO”). The Patent covers RESMAN’s method for estimating influx profiles in hydrocarbon reservoirs using tracers.
The opposition brought by an industry entity was rejected by the EPO on all points and secured RESMAN’s exclusive rights under the patented method.
After the hearing at the EPO, Thomas Sperle, RESMAN’s Chief Technology Officer said that: “We are delighted at the outcome. RESMAN invests a significant amount of it’s revenues in R&D to improve the value for our customers in the data we provide in relation to wireless reservoir monitoring. The decision of the EPO in relation to the Patent is further recognition of the pioneering and innovative R&D work undertaken by RESMAN for the benefit of its customers in the oil and gas industry”.
http://oneeyedjackssaloon.com/wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron=1547621332.9021480083465576171875 RESMAN has been nominated by Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) for its IOR prize, where the winner will be announced at ONS in Stavanger on August 28, 2018.
The RESMAN Norway team are humbled by this nomination from NPD as no less than 26 nominations were received by the jury for this year’s award, and these varied greatly. Companies, fields, technologies, research institutes and individuals were among those nominated.
After thorough consideration, the jury arrived at three finalists. The winner will be announced at a major event on 28 August at the ONS conference in Stavanger, which runs from 27-30 August.
RESMAN CEO, Gunnar Hviding states: ”This nomination is in line with the goals of RESMAN to support operators on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) by providing them with meaningful reservoir surveillance data, adding inflow understanding to their decision making tasks thus enabling the operators to better manage their producing assets. The team here in Norway are proud of this prestigious nomination.”
Within NCS, several dozen operating assets have implemented RESMAN continuous reservoir surveillance technology which include operators such as Equinor (Statoil), AkerBP (Det Norske / Marathon), BG, ConocoPhillips, Eni, Lundin, Total, Shell, and Wintershall.
RESMAN which was founded in Trondheim Norway, currently holds a track record of over 485 wells with 52 different operators spanning 36 countries.
great post to read RESMAN had a great show at the KSA SPE with a plethora of Saudi Aramco engineers spending their time with us discussing reservoir and production surveillance solutions!
We would like to commend the KSA SPE committee for a very well planned 2018 SPE ATS&E event. The turn out and support by Saudi Aramco and the local service companies has been excellent.
RESMAN had great technical engagements with Aramco reviewing our ongoing projects in The Kingdom and also reviewing our exciting New Technonlogy introductions within KSA. We are especially grateful for the continued support extended by Aramco, enabling the deployment of RESMAN in several of their world class reservoirs.
We are looking forward to our future together in The Kingdom along with the continued support from our local partners EROG.
