Gunnar Hviding - Chairman of the Board
Former President and CEO of the previously listed Roxar ASA and the former CEO of listed Crudecorp ASA. Prior to joining Roxar in 2002, Mr. Hviding served in senior management positions in Scandinavian industries, hereunder HansaBorg and Orkla. Hviding also has petroleum experience from Shell Internationale Petroleum Matschapij. Mr. Hviding holds a MEng in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College and an MBA from INSEAD.
Joakim Karlsson – Board Member
Mr. Karlsson joined NC Advisory, Advisor to the Nordic Capital funds, in 1998. He worked in the advisory group at JP Morgan in London from 1997 to 1998. Joakim also attended the Swedish Army Language School and worked at the Swedish Embassy in Moscow from1991 to 1993. Joakim holds an MSc in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics, where he was awarded the Karl-Adam Bonnier Scholarship to Darden Graduate Business School, Charlotteville, Virginia. He is currently a board member of Munters, Quant, Resman and Luvata.
Henrik Bakken – Board member
Mr. Bakken joined NC Advisory, Advisor to the Nordic Capital funds, in 2014. From 2005-2008 he worked with Boston Consulting Group as management consultant. From 2008-2014 he worked with SEB Corporate Finance as Vice President where he was responsible for coverage of the shipping sector since spring 2012. Mr. Bakken holds a M.Sc. in Industrial Economics and Technology Management. Also a Board Member in Master Marine.
Phil Longorio - Board Member
Mr. Longorio is a thirty-eight-year veteran of the oil and gas service industry, and has held various executive management positions with both major and smaller oil service companies. Mr. Longorio is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Scientific Drilling International (SDI), the world’s largest independent directional drilling and wellbore placement service provider. Mr. Longorio began his oilfield career in 1977 at Gearhart Industries and is a United States Air Force veteran. Mr. Longorio is an active member of the SPE and SPWLA.
Jim Nixon - Board Member
Mr. Nixon is Chairman and CEO of Nixon Energy Investments a company set up to advise and invest in medium sized Energy service businesses. Prior to this Nixon was President of Sandvik Venture Business Area and a member of the Group executive management of Sandvik AB. Prior to its Acquisition By Sandvik, Nixon was President and CEO of Varel International Energy Services. During his tenure at VIES Nixon lead the business to significant shareholder value expansion. Nixon has 30 plus years of Energy and Oil and Gas service company management experience which includes senior management positions with both Baroid Corporation and Dresser Industries.
Jomar Skalmerås - Board Member
Mr. Skalmeras is the RESMAN employee representative on the board and holds the position of RESMAN Group Controller. Mr. Skalmeras joined RESMAN in 2009 where he served as a Project Manager with focus on project deliveries to Norway, UK, Latin America and Middle East until 2016. Prior to 2009 Mr.Skalmeras served 21 year as an officer in the Norwegian armed forces. He has formal military education from the Norwegian Military Academy and earned a MSc degree in Business Economics and Management Control from the Sør-Trøndelag University College in Norway.
Thomas Mejdell – Observer
Mr. Mejdell joined NC Advisory, advisor to the Nordic Capital funds, in 2014. From 2011-2014 he worked with Morgan Stanley in London. Mr. Mejdell holds a M.Sc. in Finance and CEMS and a B.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration from Norwegian School of Economics. Mr. Mejdell is currently a Board Member in Master Marine.
Olof Faxander - Board Member
Joined NC Advisory, Advisor to the Nordic Capital funds, in January 2016. Olof is head of the Operational Team which provides operational support to portfolio companies. Olof has extensive experience in leadership roles in large industrial companies where he spent the first 20 years of his career. Since joining, Olof has been driving the Operational Excellence effort and working on establishing and developing Nordic Capital’s Operations Team. Olof is board member of several of portfolio companies. Prior to joining, his most recent positions were as CEO of two large public industrial groups, Sandvik (2011–2015) and SSAB (2006–2010). Olof has an MSc in Engineering from the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology and a B.A. Economics from the Stockholm University.
